Several of the guys I work with have the Blackhawk Gladius. The Gladius is a pretty amazing with it having all the features on it Constant, Momentary, Strobe, Dimming and Lockout. One of the main features that I feel draw people to it is the strobe feature. This strobe feature is very disorienting and creates a distraction giving you more time to take action. It strongly affects the depth perception of the person it’s pointed at. Insight Technology makes the H2X Typhoon which if you look closely is the same light as the Gladius.

I was not all that impressed w/the Gladius. The strobe was not that disorienting and did nothing to my dog. The light output was 'ok' but no better than any other LED light in its class. The user interface was not to my liking either. The light was too large for what it is, also. 5yrs ago the Gladius was top notch, but since has been surpassed imho.

Just so no one is confused, Watchmaker=BlackBear=Juan, the guy who makes the Borealis and other lights. He makes an excellent set of lights. I personally own a Bear Cup and it is a great light. Throws light like nobody's business!

If you want to see his business page, go to http://www.blackbearflashlights.com and look around.
