About 12 customers in a pizza place, one woman cuts ahead of everyone. Owner tells her to get out, she goes out and comes back in with a big dude. Some guy who was complaining about her cutting ahead gets hit by the woman. Then her big friend starts pummelling the guy, he beats him pretty good. All the other customers stand around and watch. Question is would you pull your gun to defend this guy?

That vid has been around a while. Its a tough call. If you pull your gun, be prepared to use it, as big guy just might decide to start pummelling you. That said, I don't think I could just stand there and watch such a beating.

I'd probably try a few strikes from behind to distract him, them give him a face full of OC.

Depends on how bad I thought the guy was being beaten and if the big guy backed off him. If I thought he might be hospitalized or killed, probably so. There's no way I could fight off the big guy by myself, and I wouldn't be carrying a Taser or have backup on the way, so the options are pretty limited. Pulling the gun would mean using it if the big guy attacked me. There were way too many people packed into that little place for a gun to be fired in there, that would make matters even more complicated. That one's a really tough call.

Seeing the video, I think if I drew on him I would have to empty the clip or I might get pummelled also. Might be better off waiting till he got outside then confront him, too many people standing around and he would be too close for my comfort. I would imagine you would be justified in stopping him.

Did anyone also notice that the fat woman spit on the cashier and that is why the cashier person came around the counter?

Could spitting on someone possibly considered deadly force? What if she had a communicable disease? I don't know what she has. I know that rapists with HIV had their sentences extended because their virus and spreading it.

I have a very close friend whos husband was KILLED with just ONE punch.
With the BG being twice the size of the victim, yes I would have drawn knowing what one punch can do. But that's just me.

I would have left as soon as the big lady started going balistic and spit on the employee. Best policy is to avoid confrontation. I know the guy got beat pretty hard but what can I say. I'm not going to spend a lot of money on legal fees to defend a guy who could have also left. :leaving By the looks of it while the guy didn't deserve a beating he sure didn't avoid the confrontation. Think about how ballistic that lady was going. Was she really going to calm down after some guy in line talked to her about?

True, but many people get punched dozens of times with no real negative effects. It all depends on how and where the blow is landed. It's one of those situation where I'd have to be there and see what's happening, and even then I might make the wrong decision. But I'm not in the habit of getting involved in third party fights that I have no involvement in and that are not threatening me personally. I might or might not get involved, probably not unless I felt that in my opinion death or serious bodily injury was imminent.

Some people get shot multiple times and sent home with a few stitches.

When i get mad, i sometimes act without thinking and i feel that if i was there i would of gotten pretty mad seeing that lady and her big dude hurt that guy.

I feel i probably would have picked something up and cracked it across that guys head then OC'ing his loud mouth girlfriend.

The odds of someone dying from one punch are astronomically low. The odds of soemone being seriously injured or killed from one bullet are much higher. While anything is possible, statistically I wouldn't necessarily try to stop a fist fight with a gun unless I saw something that made me believe that the fists were rising to the level of deadly force.

i saw that vid a long time ago.
I would have to say/do something. He could have killed that guy real easy IMHO.

Im sure anyone who said anything to him would have gotten beat also, so I would be planning to draw after his attention and rage turned to me. Getting into it with someone like that....it ends either with one of your dead or incapacitated.
