I have a Taurus 617 revolver for sale or trade. It is a 7 shot - .357/.38 - revolver in stainless steel. I would prefer a FTF deal with someone that has a CHL, I live in the Austin/San Antonio area and am willing to travel a bit to meet someone if necessary.

I bought it at a pawn shop a few years ago as a home defense gun to sit in the safe so that when I was out and had my glock on me there was still something at home for my wife to use. Well, now my wife has her own gun and we dont need this one anymore.

I havent shot it much, took it to the range when I first got it to make sure it did what it was supposed to do and now it sits lonely and bored all day while the other guns go out to play. =(

It comes with an Uncle Mikes Sidekick holster and 50 rounds of WWB .38+p JHP's

I am looking for $275, but I may also be interested in a trade for a shotgun to have around the house and/or a safe for storing some shotguns/rifles that I am going to buy in the near future.

I've always wanted one of those. If you weren't 500+ miles away, I'd probably snag it up.

Just wanted to say that this is still available, and I will be in Dallas for the day on Tuesday if anyone is interested in it up there.

Does anyone have any ideas for me here? Is it overpriced, unpopular manufacturer or just an unpopular gun? All of that?

If I need to go much below this price Ill just keep it, its a nice glove compartment gun. I figure I should ask for some advice before I take down the listing though.

I think the price is great. I would jump on it in a minute if I needed a revolver.

Patience, grasshopper. Every member of the forum doesn't necessarily visit every day. It could easily take a week or two before someone who really wants a seven-shooter sees your thread.
