I recently ordered on-line a new adjustable stock for my AR-15, and I was given a tracking number for UPS. I tracked it and saw that it was going to be delivered this evening. I get packages from UPS just about every weekday at my house for work, (I office at home) and most of the time my wife just lets the packages stay on the porch until I get home.

Tonight, I had to go out for a business dinner and when I left I said to myself "I hope that UPS does not deliver when I am gone and my wife gets the package with my new AR-15 parts in it!" Of course when I got home I saw the OPENED box in the living room and my not so happy wife!

My UPS driver always leaves the packages on the porch and rings the door bell- signature on file. I guess my Never Again is having gun stuff shipped to my house! Or maybe I should have a chat with my UPS guy about ringing the door bell!

I think you should have a chat with your Wife regarding you portion of the household income that you are ALLOWED to do with what you please! You might also have a check of her shoes stockpile from time to time!

You're lucky if you have the same UPS driver.

In my area, they purposely rotate UPS drivers rather than leave a driver on a route to become familiar.

Mine won't do the 'signature on file' thing, but I keep several signed delivery notices stuck to the back door.

So if I'm waiting for something anxiously, I can depend on a new driver attempting to deliver at the front door and not finding the signed notices. So I get a delivery attempt notice and have to drive to UPS to pick it up.

Find your nearest UPS store. The one I live near will accept packages and sign for things that require adult signature (like ammo) for 2 bucks a package.

I work nights and it is NOT nice to wake me during the day, not even to bring me ammo.

I think that I will be Ok! She know's who wears the pants around here! Just had quite a few gun related purchases in the last month or two:

DPS FEE, CHL Course, Two new handguns, Multiple boxes of ammo, Shooting Range, Tactical Lessons, Four holsters (one being a Tucker!) AR15 parts, etc. etc.

You sound like you're doing pretty good for a Married Guy!

When deliveries like this are expected, especially near a holiday, I tell my wife that a package MIGHT show up while I am gone. Please do not open it because it may be a gift for her. Works like a charm.

Dumb question, why's your wife opening a package addressed to you? My wife and I get packages regularly. I would never dream of opening a package addressed to her and vice versa. As the English would say, It's just not good form.

You guys must not have been married very long. My wife of 25 years says "What's hers is hers, and what's mine is hers too!"

She usually won't open a package addressed to me. However, I would hope that we were up front enough with each other for it to not be a problem if the other one did open it.

Married 23 years and it's a matter of common courtesy. Kinda like I won't go in her purse and she doesn't go in my wallet and I never lie to her either by comission, omission or minimization.

We have a surgical supply business, and normally receive packages just about every day, if she is around- she opens them, if I get them, I open them.
