This has become ridiculous

Wife and I sent in our RENEWALS and DPS recieved them 11-28-07.

Mine took 73 days (Feb. 8th) to get back. :grumble (yet it was issued 12-12-07; almost two months to manufacture and mail)

Wife is still waiting and it is now day 90.

When she called a couple of weeks ago they said her's was damaged and they had to send it back to the manufacturer and she should receive it the next week (which was last week).

Still no card so she called again today. It has been sent back to the manufacture and they still have it. "We can't do anything until we get it back from them and make sure it's OK."

I just read about a newbie getting his in about a month. I'm glad for him but it makes no sense.

What exactly is going on in the CHL division of the DPS?

You mean she actually got to talk to someone? I had a question concerning my PIN and called several times only to be placed on eternal hold for a while, then the message told me to leave a message and hung up on me. I finally just called my instructor. Looking back, I should have done that first!

Sometimes I have to wonder if anyone actually works in the room where the phones are.

I had good luck talking with someone when I called around 9am. On hold less than 15 minutes when I spoke with Simone.

We have had good success talking to someone on several occasions.

The only time we were cut off was when my wife called a few minutes before five. She was on hold and when 5:00 came...she went.

Yesterday they answered the phone (on hold) a few minutes past 5:00.

I'd really like to know how things are handled in that office. Doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason.
