Decided to have myself a seat in the 'Waiting Room' since I figure it will be a while before I get my license.
Packet was received Jan 19th & the web site still lists 'packet mailed to applicant', man I'm really getting sick of seeing that phrase. Wish they would update that sight a little more. Cheers guys!

Barron, I mailed mine on the same day, did you pre-register on-line? It will be interesting to see how ours vary in time. Mine says the same as yours.

Hmmm. I guess I see what I am in for. Mine was sent in about three weeks ago, and it hasnt changed from Packet mailed to Applicant either. Why oh Why didnt she mail the packet certified mail?
Judging by the other posts, it looks like anywhere form 60-90 days is the norm. Welcome to the room, Take your shoes off, and sit a spell.

I mailed mine in Certified mail so I could track it. I waited about 4 weeks after it had been received and still no change on the website from 'packet mailed...' so I emailed them to make sure somebody actually had it since there is a lot of personal info inside that packet. They responded that I was in "pre screening" and that was a couple weeks ago. Hopefully it will be here by April. Until then I am having fun sitting here having a couple beers with the rest of you in the waiting room...

Finally some change to the web site. Instead of "Packet Mailed to Applicant" I now get "Processing Application"
Nice that they waited 58 days to start the processing.

Congrats, hopefully it will say license issued soon.

58 days to start processing? That doesnt leave them much time. Congrats on the promotion. I really suspect that the website is updated only when someone remembers to do it. My money says you have been getting processesed for some time now and are only now finding out. Then again, its the Govt, so who knows? (Note to DPS: I think Yall do a great job! Keep up the good work! Yall are the best! I would never say anything bad about you!)
