Don't fool around with firearms

Accidental Shooting at 8801 Boone Road #1202
March 10, 2008 - The accidental shooting of a man at 8801 Boone Road #1202 about 1 p. m. on Saturday (March 8) will be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury without charges.
The male victim, Kenneth Valencia, 18, of 10415 Cedertown Lane in Sugarland, Texas, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to Hermann Memorial Southwest Hospital where he later died.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants R. Odom and J. Shirley reported:
Mr. Valencia and a male friend were playing with Valencia’s gun in his friend’s apartment. Valencia tackled his friend, who was holding the gun, causing it to discharge accidentally.
No charges will be filed at this time.

That's one thing my anti-gun mother did right while raising me, making it very clear that guns arent toys.

I don't know about that, I think they are GREAT toys!!!!
However, you do have to play with your toys properly and safely.

Yep. Pretty stupid.
I ALWAYS unload my handgun before I give it to my friend and then tackle him.

I guess that is pretty stupid,but where did the story come from and who verified that was what happened,might of been an accidental shooting and shooter was scared he might be charged so he made up a story putting blame on the victim.The guy that got shot isn't gonna be saying anything

I was going to say that they were probably drinking during their horseplay, but then I noticed they were only 18 years old so that couldn't be a factor.

I agree.
No way an 18 yr. old would be drinking.

I agree.
No way an 18 yr. old would be drinking.

Just like guns aren't supposed to be in "no gun zones"

The story came from the police.

theres no reason for this sort of thing to happen but dont let the demacrats know about it.

I had a girlfriend who lived off Boone. Thatg is one part of town to be armed in. Darwin award applies here.
