Church today & a lady there that learned to shoot, went through CHL class 1st of Dec. She has been asking me & the wife every week how much longer it would be.
How long does it take?
Every week is the same answer. Yesterday she was so mad. Got a letter from DPS & just knew it was plastic. One of those uhoh letters.
Ever T was crossed & all i's dotted, but she forgot to put the check in the sack.
The big things count too.

Very nice lady as I recall. After all the nervousness about shooting, she did so well.
Got to get that check in the packet though!
Hope it doesn't slow things down for her.

That's the one. She is a really great lady & her husband too. She is the talker (you saw) He is quiet. I hated it too. She also said they may send her another letter saying if she could not remember to get the check in the mail they would not issue because she may forget her gun also. I shared some of the LE stories that have shown up here about them losing guns. She could not believe that. Great day in the LORD.

Hello! I saw that each of you are from East Texas, and by the sound of the conversation each of you are either in Lufkin or close to it....

Hey, DP.
Welcome to the forum. I live a little East of Nacogdoches (out in the country). I have my own place to shoot, but sometimes go to the Angelina Gun Club. Great to know there are others close by!
