How long does it take....from the time the web site states certificate active till you have it in hand?

No one knows for sure. Apparently it can be a very long trip from the processing center to the mail room.
So....as far as we know, somewhere between 2 and 60 days.

Ya know, I need to work on making that sarcasm a little less subtle.... 
Usually, you will have plastic in hand within 10 days after seeing "license issued or certificate active"

Congrats Target just to give you a little hope I received my plastic the day after it showed active on the DPS website. My friend got his the same day that the website flipped his status. I'm sure sometimes the plastic goes out before the website gets updated.

Mine went active on a Monday or a Tuesday. I had my plastic on Friday.

I took "THE WALK" this evening. I didnt get me any ammo but I did get some paint to practice painting my guns. Dont worry, I will start on something else first. The rest of the walk went great.

If I read your posts right, you mailed your app somewhere around Dec 08th (didn't online app), had to send additional info and didn't get PIN till Jan 16th. And your certificate was statused "Active" by March 27th. That's about 108 days not counting the turnaround time associated with supplying additional info. I hope you filled in DPS Processing Times posting under a different folder on this site. When did your status change to "Processing Application"?Target1911 wrote:Guess What??????
