My NEW Wilson Combat Protector

I have been a "gun nut" all my life and since being off work for the last 3 Months I have been doing a lot of trading/selling some of my pistols and generally cleaning house, (just to have something to do and upgrading a bit......) keeping only what I really want/need.
Thru my purchases I have always bought/traded the middle/upper of the line of Production Guns (Colts, Kimbers, Springers, HK's, Sig's, S&W's, etc.....).
I have always wanted a
REAL Custom Made Gun.
So, after shuffling a few deals around, I was able to find and get a brand new Custom Wilson Combat .45 ACP SS Protector

and I am picking it up at my FFL Dealer (Ted in Frisco) this morning. So, I have reached a goal I have always had and just figured I would share it with ya'll.
This is not the top of the Wilson Line........it's about in the middle and retails for 2500.00. This one has some extras on it from Wilson and is
brand new, never fired (other than reliability/zeroing at the Wilson Shop). I managed to get it (including shipping) from Arizona for 2000.00, so I think I did alright!
All that being said....I may just be trying to justify my expense of 2000 for a single gun that I could have bought 2, 4 or even 6 "other" guns for the same money!

That thing is a piece of junk! Nothing but a huge paperweight! You should just leave it with me today after the meet. Because we are friends, I won't even charge you a disposal fee!!!

Very nice,I would have a hard time plunking down 2000.00 fer a gun that probably shoots better than i ever will, but i have spent over 3000.00 in reloading equipment in the last year.Let us know how it shoots.

Congratulations. I can tell you first hand that Wilson 1911 pistols are top of the line, and worth the money. Yes they are expensive, but as they say, you get what you pay for.
Don't forget a bunch of Wilson mags to go with it.

If it's a piece of junk, what was the reason for you drooling all over the front of your shirt while you fondled it today?????

Thanks....
It came with 2 and I already had 5 more. I use NOTHING but Wilson's exclusively in all my .45's.

AEA I picked up a Wilson CQB back in November. It is in 9mm and .38 Super. It is the best shooting 1911 I have!

You wanted it and it's your money...I'm sure that's justification enough, at least in my book!
Besides it's a 1911 and the 1911 is an addiction...you must feed the addiction. Nice pistol and proud for you!

Wilson Combat should make a subcompact version and call it the Pocket Protector.

Sweet gun. I like the case too. It looks like you could fit a couple 1911s in it.
