So this poor newleywed wants to get his high cap rifles before teh election ... if you have a lead on anything in my range please pass it along, I will be most greatful

Anyone have a 16" flatop upper for my build? all i can find are uppers that require a bolt and carrier that run $415 and up ... looking to spend less. look dont matter as long as it shoots straight.

If you have a upper for $375 or less WITH the bolt carrier group and charging handle, I will give you cash as soon as you can meet me to do the FTF

If you have a FIXED STOCK ak that fires 7.62 x 39 (looking for a wsar-10 High Cap Model 2 or simalar) .. most i can spend on this is $400 (if some ammo is included or extra mags thats awesome !!!)

I got a rifle kit from Del-ton for $475. It was everything but the stripped lower receiver. They might have what you need.

Del-ton has upper kits as well. Check them out.

I'm pretty sure you won't find anything that cheap. I even checked Model1Sales and I couldn't get that cheap, even with their crappiest options.

You might want to check Arfcom Equipment Exchange for a VERY used upper. Otherwise, save a little extra and get something that will last you.

midwayusa has a complete flattop 16" DPMS with bolt and carrier for $405.

Doesnt have forward assist or chamber cover door though.. its the "lightweight and snag free" version that DPMS makes.

If new uppers can be found for 405-415 with the bolt group I dont see any reason a used upper would cost me any more than 375

There WAS (its sold now) a 16" hbar upper for $295 without the BCG, I bought a new DPMS BCG from gunmaster in plano last week for $110 which puts you back at $405

And since it is a used barrel/chamber mating with a foreign BCG (foreign as in not the one that origonaly was broken in/warn in with the barrel) you will need to get a set of headspace gagues, that will run you about 75$ for the set. Otherwise you risk a nasty kaboom.

Thats assuming the bolt passes the headspace tests and does not need to have the barrel swapped at another $160-200.

you would be much better off just getting a new upper w/BCG to begin with.
