I have one that I carry in a Comp-Tac Ghurka holster and love it.

Great pistol for the price!

Bersa Thunder 380 was MrsFosforos' first gun, and she still has it. It's a great little gun.
I have a Bersa 380 concealed carry model (a slimmed down version of the Thunder). Also a fine little gun. I think the Thunder 380 is among the best values around. I have seen them for as little as $205 new at gun shows.

It's a simple gun to own and operate. Field stripping and cleaning is easy. Good self defense ammo is readily available. The safety is a bit of a pain, and tends to be very stiff to operate when new. It gets smoother if you spend an evening flipping it on and off a few hundred times. When I carry it, I leave the safety off. It has a long and heavy double action trigger pull.

Go for it.

mine is ammo picky. seems to jam alot with most of the usual FMJ, but does okay w/ HP. I don't trust it as far as I can throw it for self defense though.

Send it in to Bersa and they will fix it. This is not common with their pistols.

Hmmmm, my wife's Bersa is the same way.

Mars & I each have a Bersa Thunder .380 & we like them.
We both prefer the .45 1911; Mars hides it better than I can, however.

My wife likes her Bersa Thunder. It's a nice solid gun with some weight but has a good balance.

Mines been through alot of use and abuse including a dunk in saltwater at the ramp. Keep it clean and oiled, like any other gun, and it will be very reliable. I love mine, and wouldnt even consider getting rid of it. The safety was a little tight when it was new, but after an hour or so of flipping it on and off, its as smooth as my Kimber now. Great BUG or carry for those days when you cant pack your primary. :txflag:

I bought the DLX version a couple of years ago and haven't had a single problem with it. I shoot all different brands of FMJ and HP with no glitches. Probably have about 1000 rounds through it. I really like the gun and I can shoot quite well with it. Based on my experience I would highly recommend it.

My wife's first gun was a Bersa .380. She loved it, but now she loves her HK USP9 more :)

It is a fine little gun. She did have some mechanical issues with it initially, but after about 500 rounds that all seemed to magically clear up. She didn't have any problems with it after it got broken in.

I think it would be a great BUG, and a decent alternative when you need something smaller than your normal carry.

I've got the Bersa Thunder .380 Concealed Carry model too, in matte black though, and I love it.
If you get the higher grain rounds, it can kick like a mule, so I tend to use lighter loads when practicing.
But I know it will feed my carry ammo just fine.
So far, ~300 rounds and no FTF, FTE, or FTL.
Not sure when the break in point is, but I do notice I'm getting better.
Did I mention this model has almost NO sights at all. Just little bumps on top.
Its more of an "up close and personal" choice, but extremely concealable.

Bersa 380 Thunder here. Had a small 'challenge' with feed. Upon close examination, found a small burr on the feedramp that was carefully removed and lightly polished. No more challenge! Shoots great. Did modify the front sight slightly. Picked out the glob of red paint and re-dotted it with a florescent paint. Much better!
All in all no real gripes, shoots good groups.

Thanks for all the great feed back, The Bersa .380 sure seems to be well liked by the people that own them. I do believe that is the weapon I will get for my BUG.
Thanks,
Emmett
