According to police, the homeowner woke to discover a man taking [h]is Ford F150.
The homeowner ran back inside, got his gun and went after the man.
The homeowner told police the suspect made a U-turn and tried to run him down with his own truck. That's when the homeowner opened fire.
The suspect was hit and killed. The truck slammed into a wall, tires still spinning.
What can we learn from this?

Well, when the video's posted on a site named "AZFamily.com" you gotta expect more than a little anti-gun bias. After all, it's a proven* fact that guns kill children without any conscious control.

It's the web site of KTVK-TV in Phoenix. Weird name for a TV station's web site.

You asked what can we learn from this? What I learned is if the homeowner had taken his gun with him the first time he went outside he could have taken care of the BG and his truck would not have been wrecked.
I feel sorry for the truck.

hopefully the truck is totaled and he gets a new one, so he at least gets some compensation for this insurance rates that will go up 50%.

Sounds like Self Defense to me. Anyone brazen enough to attempt to run over someone, instead of running away, sounds pretty dangerous. Phoenix is a little safer today without him. I am curious if the local news will comment on his citizenship or immigration status.
