This Memorial Day, please take a moment of your time to take off your hat, bow your head, and Thank God for the ones who are overseas fighting for our Country. Please remember those who have came back, those who are going, and those who will never come home. To all the Active Duty and to all the Veterans, We appreciate you.

Please take a few minutes and watch this video. http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulletin ... -iraq.html

Sorry, I just realized, some of you might not be able to access that site, so here is the original link... http://www.axpdf.com/wake/index.htm

My salute goes out to all of you, those who have been there, those who are going, and those who died protecting our freedom. God Bless The United States of America. :patriot:

There is a prayer at the end, and if you would say it with me, we can use all the prayers we can get. Thanks for taking time out of your life to give tribute to those who want to be home but can't, because they have a duty to perform. Thanks.

Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who DIED while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Why don't we just have all of them stand up?

Sorry, but this is a pet peeve of mine--people who don't know the difference in Memorial Day & Veterans Day.

...ANY honor and thanks on ANY day given to those who put their butts on the line for their country and all of us is a good thing...and ALWAYS appropriate...and we have a lot of them who CAN'T stand up...still living but gave their hopes and dreams...and legs and feet...so that we could enjoy our lives...

I agree--BUT--to say that this specific day is FOR all veterans lessens the recognition to those who gave all for this country. As a veteran(USN), I would rather the focus on this one day be on those who gave the ultimate sacrifice

Thank you. It always irked me too.

People at work say wonderful things to me on Memorial Day, and I rudely and crassly bring up the point that I am still alive. But feel free to repeat them on Veteran's Day!
