That’s the difference between common sense and common suing. Parent's dont like to be told they are doing it wrong so they find someone else to blame in this day and age.

8 years old is plenty old enough to know better than to swallow non-food items. I wonder what she was thinking would happen?

I have those "magnetix" for my kids - they love them. And even the 2 year old (now 3) knew not to put them in her mouth. Sheesh!

They can sue an protect the kids from the "Daaaaaaaaangerous" toys, but who's going to protect the kids from the moron parents?

After reading this article, I can't help but assume that this is a disabled child, likely with either mental retardation or severe autism. A normally functioning 8-year-old doesn't eat things that aren't food. If this is the case, the parents should have known better than to give her a toy that she could swallow or choke on.
