SACRAMENTO, CA, June1 -- A professional rodeo clown was dressing to go to work when he saw two men looking in his window. The men took his bike, but their vehicle wouldn't start. He grabbed a "toy revolver," went outside, and told them it was a .44 Magnum. He detained them until police arrived.

I'm glad it turned out well, but that was an incredibly stupid stunt. He's just lucky that the would-be thieves were even dumber.

Rodeo clowns routinely lure enraged bulls into chasing them and jump into other dangerous situations. Caution is not in the job description.

I am not encouraging anyone to use a non-functional firearm as a bluff.

Maybe now he'll see the need to join our ranks, if he's not already a CHL holder.

:smilelol5: That's what I get for not reading the whole thing. I didn't even see the location.

While it isn't likely, it is possible.

You know it's bad when you are too stupid to even make it as a criminal.

They also get stomped, gored, bent, folded, spindled, and mauled by those bulls on a regular basis. I'm betting if one of the crooks had pulled a gun from inside 7 yards, they'd have seen a demonstration of what it's like to fight someone who doesn't give up.

He probably would have grabbed them by the ears, wrestled them to the ground, then tied two legs and an arm together, raising his hand to get a timed score, just like a calf roper. "rlol"

I'm wondering if the toy gun he used had the orange tipped barrel

I saw this on the news this morning. I think "toy" gun was a misnomer. I think it was a prop gun, and it did look real to me as he was demonstrating how he got the drop on the BGs.
