CMP Garand stock arrived!

This lovely old lady deserved a new dress! A coat of Fairtrimmer's and some good rubbing and it looks great! 1940 vintage Springfield Garand. :patriot:

She is absolutely beautiful!

I am waiting on a CMP M1 Garand too!......just received news yesterday that my CHL was approved and waiting on her too....

Good things are coming!

Well longhorn, I'm not sure what to tell you. She was made in Nov. 1940. Man, I wish she could talk! Of course, she would probably never shut up. Garands are a real pleasure to shoot. These old war horses will reach way out there and tag the target, even with iron sights. Today's kids think you need a scope for anything beyond arms reach. When yours arrives, you will fall head over heels in love. Just to hold it and wonder where she's been and what she went through, who carried her and on and on. You'll see! :patriot:

That sure is one good lookin' rifle. I really want an M-1 carbine, mostly to own the piece of history.

Yes indeed, like those. I need to learn more about the different manufacturers. I may try to buy one at the CMP store when I'm there next month.
