how to get PIN?

So...

I applied online. Didn't bother to look on the packet before I sent it off to see what the PIN was. I presume it was in there somewhere.

But anyway point is I have a PIN, I just don't know what it is.

Is there any way to get this info from DPS? An email address or something would be nice.

Thx-

On the DPS website there is a mechanism to request your PIN.

well, mostly I want to be able to monitor whether my application has been sent back due a property tax issue (which has been resolved). I'm not going to be getting in any fired-up hurry.

I looked on the DPS site but IIRC it had info on requesting to GET a PIN but I already have one... I just need a "reminder".
I guess it's the same process.

you did exactly what I did, file online, and mail you packet off forgetting to write down your PIN tht was on the first page. Here is the instructions from their site
In order to login you are required to have a Personal Identification Number (PIN). All PIN’s are assigned by the Texas Department of Public Safety. If you have forgotten, misplaced or never received your PIN, please contact TxDPS via email (chl@txdps.state.tx.us) and include the following information: Texas concealed handgun license number, driver license number, full name and date of birth. Your PIN will be returned in a timely fashion to the same email address submitting the request and in the order your request was received.

I also did the same thing. I just sent an email to the address above with all the information needed and they sent it right back to me.

One of the better pieces of advice I got was to make a copy of every page of my application before sending it in.
