Well, mom walked out on her deck last night and found a cougar sitting there waiting on her. She wasn't too worried about the wild hogs or other wildlife she's seen, but the giant cat kinda spooked her. she called and asked me to help her find a shotgun.

Given the situation we believe it best to look for either a 12 or 20 gauge shotty, preferably short barrel as it will be for home defense. Pump action is preferred, but a nice short barrel double might work too.

Short stock would be ideal, but we can always change out the bells an whistles.

You can get a new Maverick 88 from most dealers for less then 200 bux.

If you are looking at a short stock and good home defense. The Remington 1100 youth is a great all around shotgun.

I have a Maverick 88 to sell. It's not the short barrel model though. PM if you are interested.

Talked to mom again and shes aid she didn't want to spend more than $150 for what she's looking for. She'll probably be waiting a while for that though.
