thanks. knifekits.com has it cheaper, but in this case shipping costs as much as the material.

FYI
Holsters are generally made out of .125" thick Kydex® 100. Leather lined can and does use the thinner Kydex.

FYI also,
Crossbreed holsters uses a .060 thick kydex
Fist ultra thin Kydex holsters use about .045 thickness. I have a K7 ultra thin that is holding up very well.
I read about some guy that made his own pocket holsters out of old 'milk jugs', it was for a Kel-Tec I think.

You can buy Kydex locally at Interstate Plastics.
http://www.interstateplastics.com/facilities.aspx Depending on who you talk to thre they may or may not require you buy a whole 4'x8' sheet. A guy named Tony helped me there yesterday and was willing to cut smaller sheets for me. I have also mail ordered it from the same company's California location in smaler quantities. I bet Regal Plastics on the north side of Austin has Kydex as well.
Since we are showing off pictures of our homemade holster I have included a picture of a Kydex/Aluminum holster I made for my wife for Steel Challenge matches. I looks a bit cobby, but performs perfectly for the intended purpose.
Like I said, cobby, but functional. The magazine holder carries 6 magazines.

Thank you, I am mighty proud of it I have to say. I used a toaster oven for the main part actually. Heat gun for the belt clip.
I tried the wife's hair dryer for some practice pieces and it works only marginally. Picked up a heat gun at harbor freight in Austin for $10, works much better.

Very, very nice. I should have done that myself.
