Texas Star

Post by cmbrust »

Not sure where to ask this, so I'm posting here. I would like to purchase a Texas Star. Are there companies that make them? or should I find a blacksmith or welder and have one made?

Thanks,

A guy in San Angelo makes them: http://www.ccidpa.org/friends.html#TXSTAR

It's a rotating steel plate target shaped like a five-pointed star. I'd be real surprised if they cost less than $1,000.

We bought a "Whirligig" (A Texas Star made by MGM) for our club, from Law Enforcement Targets for less than $1,000 shipped. It works the same as the Texas Star at a savings of a couple of hundred bucks.

The plates are in a spring-loaded clamp.

Here is a very cheap option that should operate like the TS.

No idea how well it works or how durable.

SG doesn't sell the Visichalk discs but they shouldn't be too hard to find.
