Selling DeSantis Insider holster sized to fit a G19-size gun (fits my Sigma perfectly)

mr.72 ~ did you not like this holster? I have a Sigma but I'm not sure if I'm going to cary it. I'm thinking of using the SW99 but I'm searching holster choices now and these were amoung the ones I was looking at. Any feedback you have will be appreciated. Thanks.

Well let's see.

I hate the clip. I understand this is a standard clip, or very similar to a standard clip. This holster convinced me that I had these metal clips, no matter what holster they are on.

This holster worked great for appendix carry, given that it is straight drop and rides low. It rides too low for 4:00 IWB carry for me, the grip prints. I think for that position, you need 15 degrees of cant and a much higher-riding holster. I have kind of low-waist jeans so maybe this makes a diff.

In the end, it just didn't buy me enough difference from the Smartcarry. The most useful position for the Insider is appendix, and Smartcarry rocks for appendix carry. Of course a Smartcarry is 3x the price.

I ended up cutting the clip off of this holster and putting it in a messenger bag (earlier today!).

The holster is not for sale any longer.

Now if you wear higher-waisted pants like slacks or Dockers, or some higher-waisted jeans, then the Insider will probably work fine for normal IWB use. If you have a pistol with a short grip or you wear a generous cover garment, then it will work even with lower-waisted jeans. If you can get used to the gorilla-grip clip, then maybe the Insider will work for you.

I ended up getting a used Crossbreed. It's on a UPS truck right now so I can't say whether it is any better.

Did I mention that I hated this clip?

mr.72 ~ thanks for the candid response ~ I ended up with a D.M. Bullard holster for my SW99 and I'm liking it ~ just wearing it around the house for now though. I got a Kimber Ultra Carry this weekend and I'm going to shop around for something but I like the D.M. Bullard holsters and the prices are great so I'm thinking that I may end up with another one. Good luck with your new crossbreed and I'm glad you got rid of the clip (I got the feeling it bothered you)

Is this a universal or is it for a certain gun?
