I have fired roughly 700-800 rounds with NO problems whatsoever with the exception of user error!

If I understood your post correctly you are looking for an FFL in your area to "do the transfer".

If you do a face to face, you don't need an FFL to do the transfer. Just check their drivers license or CHL to make sure they are a TX resident and close the deal.

If you sell it out of state or to someone who is to far for a face to face you have to send it by FedX or similar carrier (check their firearm policies) to an FFL (request a copy of their license first and verify it on the ATF website) who will "do the transfer" on the buyers end. The receiving FFL ususally charges the buyer around $25 for this service. If you don't want to hassle with shipping it yourself, you can check with a local FFL and see if they will ship it for you (they can use regular mail), but they will charge you a fee for the service if they are willing to do it.

If I misunderstood your post and you already knew all this, just ignore me.

Thanks apowell for educating me....I guess I thought for "legal" reasons that I was required to have the firearm "transfered" to protect my butt in case it was ever used in a crime.
I have sold firearms to individuals before "face to face" but honestly thought that I might be doing something wrong.

A bill of sale / receipt will do just as well. Guns aren't registered in this state, so there really isn't anything to transfer when you are doing a face to face.

Let me get my cold Texas behind out of Canada and I just might purchase that pistol. I will have some left over per diem burning a hole in my wallet. Problem is all of the money has Queen Elizabeth on it.

I think carry two matching 1911s would be awesome. Especially if you could do it with a double shoulder holster. Might be interesting defending thier use, but it would be fun to carry like that, I think.
