The 590 is parkerized and the stock is standard at the moment. I purchased a Knoxx Spec Ops stock for it last month (I have a Knoxx on my 870 and truly enjoy it), but I can't pick up the GRS as quickly as with the standard stock. The Knoxx is a little higher. Your experience may be different with the Knoxx. I would be willing to make a sweet deal on the stock also rather than return it to Cabela's. I'm after a Remington 1100 Tactical 4 for 3-Gun matches and is the only reason I'm willing to part with the 590. I have less than 75 rounds through it.
