I sent in my app. on aug. 2. DPS recieved it on aug. 4 . got my pin yesterday the 20th. 16 days is pretty good considering I was told it would be 6 to 8 weeks by a guy @ dps. now the long wait really begins.

that is pretty good. My father in law sent his application in around June 20th, and just received his PIN # last week (week of Aug 11th). It looks like the recent hiring of 20 additional employees is helping out.

Thats great, but let me give you a few words of advice. DONT CHECK THE WEBSITE!!!!!!
It will only drive you mad!

p.s. this is coming from someone who has waited 173 days for the big moment!

How do you get your pin#? Do they e-mail your or get something in the mail? I just sent my package in on Thursday so I am waiting for mine, too.

I mailed my application one day before you TexCaboCat, it will be interesting to see who receives theirs first. Im not too sure about the pin either.

I got it in a letter from the dps office. And Ive already promised myself to try not to check my status for atleast a month. I got on there and made sure the pin worked and thats it! wait wait wait!

Yeah I remember that promise. Hope it works better for you.

You can also e-mail them and they will reply with your PIN. I got mine that way the very next day. Now I can go read the same two words on the website every day. Processing Application, Processing Application, Processing Application...
