Millenium Pro PT145 & PT140 power difference ?

Well, I got an itch for one of these compact guns and won't stop till I get one. Im on a budget and have read great reviews about these models. I am defenetly going to go for one of these, but not sure if caliber matters too much in the same type of frame. Would the 45 wear out faster than the 40? How much power difference is there? Is it worth even considering that? This will be a daily carry, so it won't be shot that much. My main range gun will be my 1911A1. Thanks for your opinions.

Jesse1911, check out this site. Lot's of great info and discussions on the PT145 & PT140. I've got the PT145 in stainless. Great little gun and enough power for my needs, but that's for you to decide. :thumbs2:

Usually, I think it's a trade off - more power from the .45 versus higher capacity from the .40. If I'm not mistaken, I think that the PT145 & PT140 both have the same capacity, so it's not really a trade off. The .45 holds an edge in performance, and that's the one I would pick. However, given the current state of bullet technology, I think you should pick the one you like shooting the best, and keep it stoked with ammo that has a proven reputation.

Does that really aggressive polymer grip groove design bite or pinch when you shoot it?

I have the PT111, its the 9mm version of the same pistol. I love it, It conseales easly, and is very accurate. I agree with what was said in anoter post here, Pick the one that you are more comfortable with. Eather way, which ever one you choose, I think you will be happy with it.

Good LucK,
Emmett

If you're talking about the grooves on the front of the grip, it's actually rubberized, and conforms to your hand pretty well.
