If flatulence was a crime Mrs. Anygun would have pressed charges a long time ago.

A poised finger ready to be pulled is a deadly weapon.

Here is an update:

Kanawha County Magistrate Court reports that the "battery on an officer" charge against Jose Cruz has been dropped.

Magistrate Jack Pauley says an assistant prosecutor came to the office and requested that charge be dropped.

The DUI charge and and obstruction charges against Cruz still stand.
I guess the evidence disappeared and they had no way to prove it. "rlol"

seems as thought the cops should get some sort of punnishment, just for wasting the courts and DA's time. Nevermind the damage they have done to their citys and departments reputation.

A man arrested for driving under the influence in West Virginia got himself into a lot more trouble later at the police station.

Jose Cruz was pulled over Monday night on Route 60 in South Charleston for driving with his headlights off. He was subsequently arrested after failing a series of sobriety tests, according to WSAZ TV in Charleston.

During fingerprinting, Cruz then allegedly moved closer to one of the officers and passed gas, the station reported. In the complaint, the investigating officer wrote that police noticed a "very strong" odor.

The alleged stunt led Cruz to be charged with another offense — battery on an officer — in addition to DUI and obstruction, WSAZ reported.
It sounds like they're used to dealing with a more genteel clientele than where I worked.

A certain portion of the homeless population there (NYC metro area) refused to live in the available shelters (or were so nasty they weren't allowed to) and inhabited basements, alleyways, and anyplace else they could get into and out of the wind. These folks would often live in the same multiple layers of heavy clothing for 2 or 3 months at a time without removing them consistently to relieve themselves, and without bathing. When they committed arrestable offenses, all contact with them had to be performed with protective equipment. The stench was so bad that all their clothing had to be immediately bagged and disposed of, and they had to be literally hosed off in a specially constructed wash area so they could be issued clean clothes and placed in the cellblock without making the whole area uninhabitable. I don't have any idea if these folks farted during the arrest process or not - it would never have been detected if they had.
