Good luck, I believe the f2000 came out after 1986 (introduced in 2001) and thus are non transferable to individuals, unless you happen to be a governmental agency.

Yes, you have to have an LE letter, and stamp and..... A real pain. May just have to go with the FS and pull the trigger real fast multiple times in a row.

I was under the impression that any automatic firearm made post 1986 were illegal to own even with the required tax stamp..is this not true? are there exceptions?

The exception is being a licensed dealer with a demonstration letter from a law enforcement agency.

Just to clarify you would have to be a Class 3 dealer, or Class 2 manufacturer.

Yeah, you aren't gonna get one with a standard FFL. BTW, this is not an inquiry for me, but a friend who was hoping to find another C3 dealer that had one they wanted to move out of their inventory.

once you have an FFL its just a $500 fee per year to get your class 3

Kinda steep just so you can own a full auto, but I guess you have to pay to play.
