I sent the renewal application in Fri, Oct 10. I did it in person as I live in Austin.

My $70 check was cashed yesterday, Oct 14.


That was fast. Does that mean I will get my card fast?

They said 45 days - does that mean calender days, business days?

Our government is good at taking our money fast. They are not so good at giving us anything fast. The 45 days is supposed to be calendar days. The way things have been going lately, I wouldn't hold my breath on getting my license in 45 days, if I were you. They seemed to be catching up, but our good friend Ike seems to have thrown a wrench into pretty much everything. Hold tight. It'll get to you (fairly) soon.

You really are a Riot! 45 days

I hope you get it that fast but you are correct about our government. They always get into our pockets fast and have no problem taking whatever they want, whenever they want.

I mailed my renewal on Aug 5th, and it was processed and and plastic in my hands 50 days later. There were a couple of others in the "Waiting Room" that had their renewal cards back in the 45-50 day time frame.
