Quanell X Paid to Organize Protest

Lloyd Kelly successfully sued Harris County and negotiated a $1.7 million settlement for his clients. (The facts of the case are not relevant to this post.) Kelly is now being sued by his former clients and a Houston Chronicle article about the two suits contains some very interesting information about so-called Houston community activist, Quanell X.
Apparently, Quanell X was paid $20,000 to organize a protest rally on the courthouse steps. Well how about that. This convicted felon isn't doing this to help the community, he's doing it for the money. So the next time you see this guy on television all fired up over the "cause," remember that he's fired up "cause" he's getting paid.
Chas.

Houston Chronicle wrote:A supplemental page of expenses filed by Kelley show $95,000 paid to attorney Tammy Tran for jury consulting and $20,000 to community activist Quanell X for organizing a rally in front of the courthouse, Sorrels said.
