I finally got the results I wanted when I checked my status today! Not sure why it took 157 days though...I've lived in Texas all my life (3 counties in 46 years), no child support, never been arrested, stable work history, I pay my taxes, and have even had federal security clearance for a past job. Basically what I've figured out is that there's no rhyme or reason whatsoever to how long it takes DPS to process a CHL.

So now I'm waiting on the mail man to get here before this weekend....I fly out to Chicago for a week on business on Sunday. I'm sure the license will arrive on Monday.

But at least my wait is finally over! Woo-hoo!

Congratulations! That is a long time to wait....but, it's worth it!!!

wow....feel like i should send mine back after all the complaining I did over just 90 days. Congrats!
