So I just changed station from ND to FL. I have a valid ND concealed carry permit and I have seen that Florida honors it, but I have also seen that Florida only honors it if you are a resident of the state on your permit. (I am a Texas resident) I am pretty confused as to whether or not i can carry.

Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

While it's been a while since I was in the AF stationed in Florida (Patrick), the rule used to be that the military had the best of both worlds. Members of the military were allowed to keep their home state as their resident state but also were allowed to claim their PCS location as their state of residence. This was before CHL in Florida but for hunting, driving and voting, I was always allowed to claim Florida as my state of residence while keeping Texas as my state of residence as well.

I would recommend a call to the appropriate office in Florida to confirm but unless you are going TDY, I don't see a problem.

Good luck on the move.
