Does anybody know of a range around Lafayette, LA that has IDPA matches? I've got a friend from over there that is interested.

The only IDPA club in LA is up north in Princeton.
There is a club in Beaumont and also in Orange.

Thanks for the reply. I knew about Miculek's range but that's probably too far for him to go. I'm surprised there aren't more ranges in LA. Especially around the bigger cities like Baton Rouge or New Orleans. I guess everybody over there is too busy hunting ducks!

I did and the only one listed was Miculek's range in Princeton. I thought there may be a range somewhere else that may have just got into it and wasn't on the web page yet.

I thought you had checked. It is surprising that LA doesn'[t have more.

Some ranges put on "action pistol" matches that aren't full blown IDPA. The guys in Longview TX put on some great shoots but pistol matches are not strictly run by IDPA rules. One stage will be an IDPA stage, then next a steel challenge, etc.

You might find a local range close to your buddy and call em up to see what they have going on...
