I'm so jealous lol. I'm still planning out my next build. I keep on waiting for newer and better and cheaper tech.

I'm actually working on a project with a friend, a GROSSLY OVERKILL RUGGEDIZED MONSTER RIG.

We are trying to fit a top of the line gaming computer into a pelican case or some similar hard case and it has to be waterproof, crush-proof, and drop proof.

The test is we are going to take it to a second or third story window and drop it a few times and if it runs our goal is met.

basically its going to be a like a larger laptop with the screen and everything built in.

Cooling is the main problem right now.

Better invest in some solid state hard drives. Your case might survive the drop, but the other stuff inside the case might not. lol :smash:

The 9500 is a great cooler. The 9700 is even better. But you better keep that CPU temp a little lower. The thermal limit for that CPU is I think 65, and there's no way I would recommend running it even that hot. I have my 3.16 GHz Intel Core Duo 2 overclocked to about 4.1 GHz and it's running 50-55. This gives me a little comfort zone if the ambient temp of the room increases.

this is the absolute best HS Fan aircooling solution for a CPU today. It actually does better than alot of water cooler do.

I used the CNPS9500 for a while and then sold the system I built and ended up building one water cooled. I actually did it just to see how much of a difference there was and unless you are really pushing your processor I didn't find a huge difference. Now when I started pushing the processor the fans kicked on a lot less with the water cooled.

This is the exact cooler I have in my Intel quadcore. Works beautifully.
