Resources for those interested in buying some land?

I'm in the early stages of looking to pick up some land (+/- 50 to 100 acres) and will be using the Texas Veterans Land Board for financing (yay!)
Anyways, there seems to be so much out there but I have no idea where to begin. Are there realtors for land? Can anyone recommend a website?
Thanks is advance!

Best to pick a county (or 2) and call a realtor (or 2).
IMHO they earn their money. i am a lender, and that is my sugestion.
edited: where you looking for what? investment, play time, live on it?

In addition, check our landsoftexas.com - it isn't complete by any means but has a tremendous amount of listings.
Also, craigslist.org is often good (search their real estate listings for the word "acres").

I've been looking around Zones 14/15 and 18/19 on the LandsOfTexas website, primarily for the reasons you mentioned. It should be a good investment, and we plan on throwing up a small cabin for getaways the entire family can use when they wish. I'd like to be able to hunt on it and maybe build up a little pistol range. Water (lake or river) is not a requirement, nor is massive elevation (but
some would be nice with the range). Those are really my only requirements. I'm wondering if I need to shrink my search area or search requirements.

Good call! It's been a favorite of mine for a while now and it has primarily been the only site I look at.
