The old cliche is true: "When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns". What is so hard to understand about that?

That voice in the video sounds just like Jesse Ventura.

I, for one, would prefer that alarmist threads not be posted until there is actual movement by Obama, his cabinet, or Congress.
By this time, we all know that all three are in favor of more and stricter gun laws. But I have seen no mention that it is part of his initial plans. He has the economy and job issues to deal with, as well as national security.
When it is mentioned or when a new bill is submitted, then we should try to motivate people.
So many of these threads amount to crying wolf.
This particular link is a slam at gun control so I have no idea how it relates to "Obama Wants More Gun Restrictions".

Yeah I didn't really get that part either.

I was about to post this on my facebook account but then when I previewed the link and saw the description the YouTube poster had given it I quickly clicked back.
We all have our reasons to not like Obama. As was already covered this video doesn't really have anything to do with him anyway, but:
When you're talking to friends or whomever about politics PLEASE do not emphasis his middle name as if it were some kind of qualification to what ever point you are trying to make. It will just turn off any potential channel for audience as much as it would if you state "the black-guy president-elect".
If you really feel he's a terrorist b/c his middle name is what it is, well for one I feel sorry for you, but beyond that you should just keep it to yourself and make intelligent well articulated arguments. Keep fear mongering and race baiting out of it.
Edit: This reply isn't directed to anyone's response that was posted on this forum, just to be clear. At the same time it is directed at everyone reading it as something I think we all need to keep in mind when trying to convert people from the dark side.

This would be like waiting on Galveston Island to see if Hurricane Ike was REALLY going to hit. Ya never know....it could veer off.
Obama and Biden are DEMONSTRABLY anti-gun....and there is little that could be written about either of them that could be considered "alarmist".
Just my opinion of course.

I disagree. Alarmist threads when there is no pending action is like evacuating Galveston every time a storm system forms off the coast of Africa. Many alarmist threads posted here are about old bills going no where or reporting old conversations of our antagonists.

Or, rather, like discussing how best to evacuate Galveston before the storm hits.

I thought we knew WHAT to do! We try to swell the ranks of the NRA as large as possible to make them the 800 pound gorilla again and we write letters and otherwise contact our senators and representatives enmasse. At least, that appears to be the only thing that has ever worked.
But the threads warning people about old bills cause disruption for no purpose.
I get enough email alerts from NRA, TSRA, GOA and others that I'm not worried about a genuine threat getting past me unawares.
But if the alert messages in this forum were my only source, I would soon stop even reading them since most are nothing at all.

No doubt you are aware of this one then:
Media reports say President-elect Barack Obama has selected Eric Holder as his Attorney General, and that Holder may already have accepted the offer. Holder, as Deputy Attorney General under Janet Reno during the Clinton Administration, said that the Second Amendment does not protect an individual right, but instead protects the right to have a firearm when serving with a militia. After leaving office, Holder stuck to that assertion when he signed Janet Reno's brief to the Supreme Court in the Heller case, which stated, "The Second Amendment does not protect firearms possession or use that is unrelated to participation in a well-regulated militia."
Should interesting if true, alarmist if not.

[sarcasm]
We really should give the anointed one, the most merciful obamassiah, omnipotent ruler of all that is yours and mine a chance. After all, he has our country's best interest at heart. We are certain his economic policies are rooted in his full understanding of capitalism and the markets. His impressive experience in both the private sector and government grounds him firmly as the most capable to lead us out of our extremeley dire credit crunch.
His obvious international diplomatic experience will undoubtedly lead to America's once again reaching the pinnacle of respect among the world's leading nations. I see a truly remarkable reign of peace as freedom fighters and oppressive governments globally lay down their arms and come together as one to work towards a mutually inclusive ideal of love and peace.
Barack HUSSEIN Obama's most significant contribution to our country's return to stability will be his respect for the constitutioin and human rights. We know this to be true because of the outstanding leadership he exhibited in his involvement in the private sector and his stellar record as a state senator. We know for a fact that the personal freedoms of the residents of Illinois and especially the Chicago area are much more rooted in constitutional principal now than before his joining the struggle.
We must truly give the most glorious maobama the lattitude he deserves to prove that he is truly a centrist and that his administrations goal is to rule in peace and prosperity.
[/sarcasm]
I almost puked writing that.
Give me a break.
I trust no one in Washington as far as I can throw them. They deserve no chances, least of all HUSSEIN obama. He is not even a citizen.

Yes, sir. As I stated, we all know where his cabinet, Congress, and the holy one will stand on 2nd Amerndment.
But I still advocate not playing Chicken Little until there is a specific threat. We just had the opportunity to make a general statement about politicians' beliefs and we failed miserably.
