Unfortunately, I've had to delete a new user id for gross violation of the "10 year old daughter rule." In addition to the screen name being blatantly offensive, this person had a link to a porn website by the same name. At least this is only the second time I've had to do this since the forum was started.
I don't know who the person is, I didn't write down the IP address or email address, and have not banned the IP address or email address, so if the person wants to re-register under a different and appropriate user ID, without the link to the website, and adhere to the "10 year old daughter rule," that will be fine. However, the email address had better not be to the domain name on the website!
I get PM's from several new members from time to time telling me that they had been reading the forum for a good while before registering. Based upon the content of those PM's, I believe most folks have read the Mission Statement and at least accept if not appreciate the "10 year old daughter rule." However, for guests that may not have read the Mission Statement, please do so before registering and choosing a user ID and/or linking to another website. As I said, I don't like deleting anyone, but I won't hesitate for a second under these circumstances.
Since I deleted the registration and this person's only post, I've also deleted the responses, as they no longer make sense without a point of reference.
