Review: UTG Brass Catcher for AR15

A while back, my son and I purchased a couple of UTG brass catchers for AR15 rifles from Midway, for $7.99 each. They cost a couple of bucks more today, but given what they do for people who want to save and reload their .223/5.56 brass, even $10 is a cheap price.
Here is a picture of what they look like:

There is a velcro loop that goes around the handguard where it meets the upper receiver. The opening of the top of the sack shaped catcher encloses the ejection port. Brass ejects directly into the sack, where it accumulates until you unzip the bottom of the bag and empty it out.
I only have one niggling little complaint, but it is not a barrier to effectively using this device, and that is that the net of the sack is made of nylon, and the freshly ejected brass is so hot that it can burn the nylon a bit and stinks a little. Other than that, it does exactly what it advertises, and for a very reasonable price.
A word of caution for left handed shooters on right handed ARs (like me) . . . . . . keep the zipper on the bottom of the bag closed while shooting. A week ago, I forgot to close the bag. A freshly ejected case dropped right out the bottom of the bag onto the table, just as I laid my right forearm right down on top of it. It practically sizzled. A week later, the mark is still on my arm. And this is the second time I've done this to myself, which doesn't say much in my favor! .223 brass ejects much hotter than larger calibers, it seems.

Anyway, I highly recommend this UTG brass catcher from Midway.
(I changed the thread title to avoid further confusion. This item is not for sale, this is a product review.
