In honor of today's historic importance

I am wearing all black.
Don't get me wrong. I am tremendously proud that our nation could look beyond our history of racism to elect a black President of these great United States, but I am sorely disappointed that that black President taking the oath of office today is Barack Obama.
I am in mourning today.

I wore shades of black and gray today, too. In observance of this historic day, I also joined the NRA. On my way home, I plan to stop and buy a new gun.

I had to let out a cheer when I heard that.

Where?
"As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals. Our founding fathers faced with perils that we can scarcely imagine, drafted a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charter expanded by the blood of generations. Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience's sake."
I watched his speech at work today. He is a very passionate/eloquent speaker (reminded me of JFK). In no way did I see his statement as an explicit endorsement of our 2nd Amendment rights.
I saw it as saying that in order to fight Terrorism, we would not compromise our principals.

If you think that a few words in a speech sums up Barry's beliefs on the BOR and illustrates that he has changed his agenda then I have some land I want to sell you.

Casingpoint, I hope you are being sarcastic.
This bland bit of pablum in no way shows support of the RKBA.

I specifically picked out a deer shirt this morning. Has pics of deer, flintlock rifles, powder horns, and possibles bags. It seemed appropriate.

I'm going to have to agree. I asked for a link in order to see the context of the quote. I have found it, and the context is of national defense and military policy in general. While the points are fine, I don't see any link to the RKBA.

Watching the video now to see if there was something I missed.

I found this line entertaining, considering his background:
On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics.

I can't agree with a lot of his definitions so in my confusion, I celebrated with the masses!
Went out and bought two boxes of WWB in 45ACP and one box of Winchester Supreme 25WSSM.
Would have bought more but until our new President fixes the economy for us, I couldn't afford more than $70 for three boxes of ammunition. Wait a minute, I'm gonna have to pay more taxes (according to his speech) and work harder (according to his speech) and give more in free services, and etc., etc.
Well, maybe I should have gone ahead and bought the .40Cal and .223 I was looking at. Maybe if I spend so much on ammo that I can't pay my mortgage for three months, I can get in on the gravy train.
I'm waiting to see how all this works out. As I understand it, I must be willing to sacrifice. I must be willing to try harder. I must be patient. I must believe. But if all this fails, I must plan for success because no matter what happens, if I play the game, I will win.
Too bad for the rest of you guys. I think I've got this figured out.
