Please write any and all of you loac/state reps and let them know your displeasure with this bill.

Pay particular attention to how pistol grips are defined in this bill.

I think any writing or calling will not get much attention until something is introduced. Two bill that are currently on the docket that representatives need to be called about are:

H.R. 257: To prevent children's access to firearms

H.R. 45: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009

Both of these have restrictive items, and HR45 is an outright registration program.

This website report transcends state and local proposals: http://www.gunlaws.com/GunLawUpdate3.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This is the Brady Bunch at its finest. Y'all really need to take a gander and see what they're planning on taking from you.

That whole "sporting purposes" language is asinine. Our founders wanted the citizens to be armed in order to protect them from tyranny. This seems to be the sort of tyranny that they were worried about.

It doesn't just SEEM to be the sorty of tyranny they were worried about, I'd say it IS the sort of tyranny they were worried about.

And on to Concord marched the foe,
To seize the arsenal there you know,
Waking folks, searching all around.
'Til our militia stopped them in their tracks,
At the Old North Bridge, we turned them back
And chased those Redcoats back to Boston town.
