I just got off the phone with my daddy. Susan's surgery went really well last week and they were supposed to go back on Wednesday for a follow-up visit and meet with the oncologist and radiologist.

This afternoon at 4:30, one of the doctors called them. He said that they had gotten her reports back and he wanted to call and share them ASAP. The surgery was able to remove all of the tumors and out of all the lymph nodes they also removed .... EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS NEGATIVE FOR ANY SIGN OF CANCER!!!!!

PRAISE GOD!!!! She will not have to undergo one single chemo treatment and may have to do some very localized radiation treatments. They will discuss that further on Wednesday.

Thank you guys so very much for your prayers! I know they were very comforting to my daddy, stepmom, and stepsisters.

Tell her the radiation treatment is pretty much a walk in the park. If she's very fair-skinned and prone to sunburn, she might get some redness in the areas treated. There's a great product on the market called AquaPhor (I think the spelling is right), and it's great for skin care. Of course, if she doesn't need the radiation, that's something she doesn't need to worry about!!
