I was glad to see a reasonably un-biased piece from KTRK on Friday 10pm newscast on growth in numbers of women shooters. Numbers are growing both in women who sport shoot and those who have CHL in Texas. Don Nelson made apparent efforts to present a non-inflammatory view of shooting generally. Interviews were with folks much more mainstream than we normally see portrayed on the subject. Most of it was shot at American Shooting Center so the backgrounds were appropriate.
I think that for as much negative bull as we see about shooters on the TV, we might should take note when something positive is done.

I thought it was a good piece as well. Deb Cleverdon is the one who gave my family its initial firearms lesson. Nice to see her again.

Also notice Don Nelson sending a few down range.

I watched with skepticism that they would give an unbiased report, but they seemed to have done just that. I was a little shocked after watching it. Kudos to Don Nelson.

Rats, I am sorry I missed it. I did get a link from a friend on a article in the Chronicle about a gun club in Conroe, it too was very well done and quite positive on shooting and women shooting.

I thought it was very good and not rushed, they took some time with it and made it interesting.

Yes, it was last friday (5/5) on the 10 pm news. I tried to find it on their website (ktrk.com) but it doesn't look like they have the piece online.

They said it would be on their website but the following day I could not find it either.
