Looking For S&W 642 Concealment Holsters

Hey guys, having recently purchased a S&W 642 for concealed carry...I am not looking into holsters to carry it IWB. I ordered one from Don Hume only to find they were on backorder 3-4 months!

Anyone suggest any other good makers out there for a holster to carry IWB? I've seen the DeSantis Nemesis Holster for pocket carry, and that looks like a viable solution, but id rather carry IWB with a Talon Claw clip at 4-5 o'clock along my belt.

Thanks for any advice.

I was looking at:
http://magills.com/pgroup_descrip/39_Co ... ilter_4%3D

Does this look like a viable solution? Anyone know anything about this maker? Are they good?

I also inquired to Don Hume about a similar Holster that has the leather snap loops that go around the belt rather than the Talon Claw clip. Its a $54 holster before shipping costs...So hopefully its good granted they have it in stock.

Check out Boomstick Holsters. I have seen a couple of their holsters and they are great! Can't tell you what the wait is but I can tell you that everyone I know that has one says it's a great holster. The guy does great work!

I carry mine in a Desantis Nemesis, but just a couple of days ago, I was looking at this Galco online. I own Galcos to fit my USP Compact and my 3" Kimber, and they are well made and not too expensive.

try this for pocket carry (remove the anti-print panel for front pocket carry):

or try DM Bullard. pocket holsters, IWB or whatever for S&W 642's, J frames etc.:

Try http://www.Crossbreedholsters.com. My 642 rides either in a crossbreed OWB or a special purse holster(gun purse). They are great people to deal with and their work is excellent. Not sure what the wait is. Had mine in about 3 weeks. Cheryl

Try one of Mika's pocket holsters.
http://www.frontiernet.net/~akim/prodnfo.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

or a plain Uncle Mikes #3 pocket holster (low cost but light and comfortable. easy to replace when it gets old)
http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.e ... mid=141332" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I have both for my S&W 442.

you can check out http://hipgrip.com/ also. I use it every day. Was even successful using it while on my motorcycle last weekend.

I got one of these yesterday for a J frame. Not the most intricate piece of holster work, but entirely functional. Only $22 plus $10 shipping. It appears to be two layers of very thin leather, smooth on the outside and rough on the inside. The gun is like glued in there under belt pressure. No retention problems whatsoever. You do not need a strap or thumb break with this holster, unlike some fabric IWB's. The clip is high quality stainless steel. After trying it out, I recommend this holster for IWB carry. Gun rides high and deployable with the stock design, so if you want a lowrider, you will have to talk it up with Rachel K.

This holster is about as minimalist as one can be and still be a holster. Sometimes less is more:
