I just heard a report...And that report from a media source has yet to be able to link to just yet...I will post that when that occurs...

But here's the gist...

The BATFE official who in 2007, and more recently before a congressional committee this year (which is what has created this recent over-hyped reaction) has lied...(I know, its a big shocker)...

The numbers stated that 90% of the guns seized or interdicted (Duh!) that were determined to be responsible for the increased violence within the drug cartel community were sourced right back here to the US...Now we all know this is suspect information...

The AG in Mexico has stated that the number of guns seized so far has been about 29,000 units of various types...Of that number, only a third of that number were asked to be "E-traced"...83% of those E-traced were determined to NOT be of American origin...

Two things...

The BATFE oficial needs to be called on the carpet to explain his numbers and to why they are innaccurate...Then we can fire him...

Any attempt to infringe upon our right to keep and bear arms in response to this false information provided by the BATFE needs to be met, challenged and destroyed with full force...

Plain and simple...

More info to follow...

Stevie_d_64 is correct. Here's a quote from, of all places, that most liberal LA Times, "Most of these weapons are being smuggled from Central American countries or by sea, eluding U.S. and Mexican monitors who are focused on the smuggling of semiauto- matic and conventional weapons purchased from dealers in the U.S. border states of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California." For the full story, see: http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld ... 9992.story
