I don't know about the citizenship rule, but I do know that the buy in is kind of pricey. I've considered membership there, and friends who are members tell me its real nice, although I've never been there myself. But that $750 share you have to buy in the land company before you can be accepted as a dues paying member is a little discouraging.

A buddy of mine is a member there, he just got his Range Safety Officer Qualification there from what I recall. I haven't been there/shot there...although a few of my other buddies have, they have nothing but good things to say about it...other than what Annoyed mentioned, the initial cost of entry. I thought about joining/looking into it, but they don't allow full-auto, so that's a no-go for me.

Ya think that's bad, you should look at the initiation fee at Dallas Gun Club. $5000! Then it's $85 a month!

I'm a member of GPGC - great place, great people, clean clubhouse facility, terrific ranges - no complaints. The members work really hard out there. Goto http://www.gpgc.net/ for info.

The annual dues are way reasonable and the costs for a round of clays is cheap. However, my understanding is that all of the available shares have been purchased (BTW - it is an investment, not a throwaway). You can contact the pres or VP and see if anyone has offered a share back for sale.

Yes the rules do read a 'citizen of the US' - to determine if that means someone on a permanent visa would not be considered, you just ask someone in the higher pay grades. You could also latch onto someone (or several someone's) at GPGC and occasionally join them as a guest. Clays are a little higher for the guest but still very reasonable.

Yep. Probably around 0930.

I'll be at the pistol range with a stainless Kimber Eclipse Ultra and most likely will have a black and green Monster energy drink can on the table in front of me. If you're wanting to meet up I'll send you a PM next Friday letting you know what color shirt I'll be wearing.

Vehicle is a Dodge Magnum station wagon and I always wear a do-rag when shooting (brass from the short Kimber has a tendency to leave little cuts in my forehead otherwise).

Really!? I assumed they were closed due to weather. I woke up, saw it was raining out (pretty steady, but not a downpour in Grapevine at that particular moment), rolled over and went back to sleep. I wrongly assumed you'd do the same.

Sorry I wasn't there.

I'll be out there at 9:30 this Saturday if the weather is nice.
