I'm slow, but I can still learn some things...

[rant on]
...like, forget about being frugal and do NOT save nickels by buying the lightest bullets you can find. Usually I match my carry ammo, but this time I went with the little 135 grainers for my 40S&W. After 2 of the first bullets ended up getting cocked during seating, I had to slow WAY down...
[rant off]

Ok, it was a mild rant...

They are just so short they are hard to control... :banghead:

Never again. 300 down, 200 to go, and they I get to relish blasting them downrange in revenge for all the trouble they are putting me though...

you are righ to match your practice ammo w/ your carryI not only match bullet weight but work my load up so that when I stagger a carry load & a practice round through a mag I cant tell which is whch. Recoil & impact are the same too.

My Glock 22 doesn't seem to care much about velocity...at least not enough to care about. 1" at 10 yards is still minute of torso... My Kahr is rewriting the books on what I thought I knew about shooting and reloading...I have not even begun to figure out what it is up to. All my revolvers pretty much play by the rules: light and fast == lower on target.

As I once heard, every gun is a rule onto itself; what works for one may well be exactly wrong for the next.

Ain't reloading fun? I've been at it for about 10 years and still learn things regularly...
