This piece was heard on KUHF in Houston this morning:

It seems reasonable balanced. They interviewed a woman representative of Concealed Carry on Campus.

Mr. Garnet Coleman did not make a good case against, IMHO. It seems he does not know that CHL holders can carry handguns on college campuses now (except the buildings and locations of school-sponsored events), and anyone can carry a firearm in a vehicle.

KUHF is the National Public Radio affiliate in Houston. It is not currently operated by the University of Houston, though its studio is on the main campus.

At this point, a pretty fair assessment by Rep. Driver.

I agree that it was a reasonable and balanced debate. Mr. Coleman was just repeating the same only story we have heard many times before.
State Representative Garnet Coleman of Houston says there's a reason guns aren't allowed.
"It increases the chance of gun violence on a campus to allow people who walk onto the campus, to allow students and faculty to carry a concealed weapon. How do you know the difference between friend or foe if you're allowed to carry a weapon?"
