Last minute question before I mail the packet

At the top of the photo holder it says Application/License Number. What exactly goes there that is the only part I am confused on?

I think I found the answer to my question if somebody can confirm it for me.Is it for renewing people only?

If you have an application number, you put it there.
DPS recently stopped putting application numbers on the yellow applications. So, if you have an older application package, you will have a red number in the top right hand corner. That's the application number. If you applied online, then you have an application number on the top righthand corner of the paperwork DPS sent back to you. It ends in "L" indicating you are an online applicant.
So... if you have a number, put it on there. If you don't, then leave it blank.
