Poll at A&M for concealed carry on campus...

For students only! lol Didn't mean to get anyone's hopes up, but tell all the aggies you know to go vote for the bill at
https://vote.tamu.edu/booth/ballot.php. It is being put on by the student government association and you need a student id and password to vote.
Another topic I thought that was of mentioning is the wording. Very precise and factual and I thought it was a well organized question for the poll.
Texas Concealed Handgun Referendum
The Texas Legislature is currently considering legislation that would
extend the carrying rights for those gun owners with Texas Concealed
Handgun Licenses (CHL's). Currently, owners with CHL's may carry their
guns on the campus of universities, but may not enter a building on
the campus. The bill being considered would extend the right to cover
buildings on campuses of public universities in our State.

They'll probably take the students opinion on this subject about as seriously as they did on the opposition to the MSC closure.
Heck they didn't even listen to us former students either.

Wasn't Dennis Franchione the football coach at Texas A & M for awhile? That speaks volumes to the mindset of somebody....

Yeah... I heard about this from a
very biased (and insulting) email from my student government rep.
Oh well, at least I heard about it I guess.

was fired in spite of being (in terms of win/loss) one of the most successful Aggie coaches of all time. Would that be the not "tolerate" clause? Don't be a hater.

What percentage said yes?
...and I'm surprised at the result, considering how many country boys I see every time I'm in the B/CS area.
I've even seen a Ford Focus hatchback with CB radio antennas out there.

Well, I guess ol' Army is really dead this time. That's disconcerting. I wonder if the student government decided this would be the official SG position before or after they got the results. Not exactly a scientific poll. Sheesh. Well, bonfire's gone... A&M becoming like every other school? Dunno.
