What was Obama's snide 2A comment last night?

What was the snide, innapropriate comment Obama made last night? Actually, that question's not accurate. In the part of the speech I saw, he made too many snide, inappropriate comments to count. But I digress... After the dinner and speech, I was watching Fox News. I believe it was Ann Coulter they had on there and she said the joke Obama made about the right to keep and bear arms was quite inappropriate. I missed the comment, and I was wondering if any of you caught it. I was also irritated with Obama's comment, "and on the 73rd day, I shall rest", but that's a whole different discussion...
Thanks in advance.

Sorry.
Don't know.
Didn't watch it!
My gauge is peaked at FULL on coverage of this guy and I refuse to watch his attempts at humor.
I would like to know what his comments were though.

What was the snide, inappropriate comment Obama made last night?
How do you separate it from the entire speech? Everything the guy says is snide and inappropriate.

I really don't see a problem with what he said. I watched the first half of it online, I have yet to watch the 2nd half. He made fun of himself as well about his teleprompters.

I don't see a problem. Presidents are usually making jokes at these dinners.

Ah, I see the clip, but can't watch it right now. I didn't get to see it last night, I just heard shortly after the speech that he had made such a comment. I wonder if the Michelle bare arms thing is what Ann Coulter was refering to? I don't like the guy, but really, I guess I have to admit, he was kinda funny. The jokes don't bug me, except for the "73rd day I shall rest" thing. That one just rubs me the wrong way. But, like you said, all the presidents make jokes at these things. Now I did see on CSPAN while flipping through the channels, some of the jokes that Wanda Sykes made. That was a bit much.

yea, I agree...He was making jokes, lightening the mood, etc. Trust me, I am against him on so many things, I am major pro-life, pro-guns, pro-capitalism, etc. Quite frankly, his position on those things (especially pro-life) scare the heck out of me (part of the reason I carry), but what I saw was him making jokes, something that every president does (or should do).
Yes, I didn't vote for him and will never vote for him given his pro-abortion stance, but come on, he IS the president and the folks that are seething with anger and making comments about his jokes are going a bit too far.

It's as bad as the nonsense about his choice of condiments.
I have to wonder if it's all part of a consiracy to distract us from the real issues and the real threats until it's too late.

Just remember, he is not a stand-up comedian, so I doubt he is writing his own stuff. Even Leno and Lettermen have joke writers. I bet he is just reading what is fed to him for the most part. Unfortunately he is probably doing the same thing with stuff that comes from members of his staff, so their views, even if they may not be his, may be passed along if he doesn't disagree vehemently with the idea.

He's a Chicago politician.

I agree in principle...But it is important to pay attention if we are to counter what they say and do...Not that there is much that we can do about it...
I leave that to how fired up everyone stays till the appropriate time in November...

I have little good to say about the guy, but I don't think his joke was that inappropriate (though I may need to hear Ann Coulter's response to get another viewpoint). It's basically the same joke as this

It is common for jokes to be made at this dinner, but some of the jokes I heard on the morning news shows I consider to be inappropriate and insulting.
